The Host: David Benyon

David Benyon is a freelance journalist with more than fifteen years’ experience writing about risk and P&C insurance and reinsurance markets. He is a former editor of Strategic Risk, Reactions and Global Reinsurance magazines, and a freelance contributor to The Insurer, Insider Engage, Risk.net, Marine Professional, The Desk, and other trade business and financial services brands.

David has served two operational tours in the Middle East as an Information Warfare Maritime Trade Operations specialist in the Royal Navy Reserve. He is a graduate of War Studies and History at King’s College, London and holds a Master’s in British Empire and Commonwealth History, also from King’s. He lives and works in London.

Amid shifting geopolitical risk perceptions globally, this podcast is an independent project designed to link a professional career as a journalist, primarily writing for risk professionals and insurance and reinsurance markets, with long-held personal passions for geopolitics, foreign policy and international relations.
